About: Join us for an educational Plant Walk led by Nashville Foodscapes in partnership with the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC), where participants will explore the trees featured in TEC’s upcoming Tree Day, learn about their mature states, best planting practices, edible and medicinal properties, and more. Everyone will receive a handy care guide via email to ensure any newly planted trees thrive.
TEC's Tennessee Tree Day is an annual, family-friendly event that has mobilized over 100,000 residents to plant more than one million native trees since 2007. Planting native seedlings can help:
Enhance the tree canopy
Promote sustainability
Purify the air
Filter stormwater
Create wildlife habitat
